Uncooked Finger Paint Recipe
Welcome to Adobe GoLive 4 Uncooked Finger Paint Recipe Fingerpaint can be cooked slowly in a pot over a low heat or whisked up quickly using boiling water. Be aware that soap flakes can cause problems for some people on prolonged contact with the skin, and that children will not enjoy getting soap flakes in their eyes. Keep a pail of clean water and towels handy in case of accidents. Finger paints can be colored with tempera pant powder or dyes. Ingredients 2 cups cornflour 1 cup cold water 4 - 5 cups boiling water 1/4 cup soap flakes (optional) Instructions Whisk the cornflour and cold water together in a large bowl until all the cornflour is suspended. Pour in 4 - 5 cups of boiling water while stirring and beat until the mixture "grabs". Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth, thick and translucent. Add the soap flakes if desired and keep stirring. If the mixture seems too thick, carefully add a little more water. The finished fingerpaint should pour slowly and keep its shape briefly when molded or patterned with fingers. Color can be added to the bowl during the final stages of preparation or mixed into the fingerpaint on the painting table. Back to Main Page of Finger Paint Recipe and Other Recipes for Play
