Starch and French Chalk Fingerpaint Recipe

Fingerpaint can be cooked slowly in a pot over a low heat or whiseked up quickly using boiling water.

Be aware that soap flakes can cause problems for some peopel on prolonged contact with the skin, and that children will not enjoy getting soap flakes in their eyes. Keep a pail of clean water and towels handy in case of accidents.

Fingerpaints can be colored with tempera pant powder or dyes.

This firngerpaint is very smooth and slippery with the consistency of thick handcream, and has a distinctive soapy smell. Look for the starch and french chalk in a pharmacy if the supermarket or hardware store do not stock them.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups powdered startch
1 - liters boiling water
1 1/2 cups soap flakes
1/2 cup french chalk

Fingerpaint Recipe Instructions
